Apple MacBook Pro MB471LL/A 15.4-Inch Laptop

Apple MacBook Pro MB471LL/A Laptop : The product is great. For both work (software development) and play (World of Warcraft) Apple MacBook Pro MB471LL/A Laptop suits me just fine.

However, if you have an Apple store handy, I recommend you buy there instead. From the first time I turned on the laptop, the dvd drive made a loud noise every time I turned it on or woke it up from sleep. I took it to the nearest Apple Genius bar and they agreed it was wrong, and offered to trade in for a brand new one. Then they found out I bought from Amazon, so they couldn’t do that. Instead I had to mail my laptop to AppleCare and wait for them to say there was nothing wrong, and then send it back fixed(!). Weirdness of AppleCare aside, I could have started using my laptop a week earlier if I’d bought it from Apple.

Great portable camera – buy with the 20mm kit lens instead

Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF1 Digital Camera : I’ve only owned point-and-shoots or super-zoom cameras so far, but I wanted something better and was researching D-SLRs. However I realized I wouldn’t carry a big camera with me all the time, so I turned to the micro-4/3 cameras.

I’ve compared the Olympus EP1 with Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF1 Digital Camera, and I found Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF1 Digital Camera better due the faster auto-focus and the built-in flash.

I bought it with 14-45mm kit lens, however I recommend purchasing the model with the 20mm f/1.7 pancake lens instead, which turns Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF1 Digital Camera into a really portable camera. Later I bought the 20mm f/1.7 Pancake Lens separately and I found I keep the pancake lens on Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF1 Digital Camera most of the time, as it’s much more compact and convenient to carry with me. I also recommend the Lowepro Apex 60 AW (Black) bag that fits perfectly Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF1 Digital Camera with the pancake lens (no space for the 14-45mm lens however).

Cisco-Linksys WRT160N-RM Refurbished Wireless-N Router

Cisco-Linksys WRT160N-RM Wireless Router : Got the router and right out of the box checked to make sure it was ddwrt-able. Only V1 and V3 are as the 2nd version had memory issues and was basically too weak to support the ddwrt software. I was pleased to see the V3 and immediately went to town on said router. Ive had no issues with a dropped signal or any speed issues as the ddwrt software fixes any problems that might arise when using the installed Cisco-Linksys software. I wouldnt reccomend keeping default software. If you are tech savvy enough to change the software change to ddwrt!!! Range with a non antennae router is great, but just not a good as one with a good antennae. Overall a great deal for a good N-router

I have owned Nespresso D290 Espresso and Coffeemaker for around 3 years now and made mabye 5,000 cups of espresso with this. Two to three per day is my standard, and my wife usually has one or two Lungos per day. Hopefully you can understand that I love Nespresso D290 Espresso and Coffeemaker, and I love this espresso. This is far superior to any other “on demand” coffee makers, Nespresso D290 Espresso and Coffeemaker makes real espresso.

Lego Indiana Jones 2 The Adventure Continues : I have 8 year old twins who love all the previous Lego games. I was a little hesitant about buying Lego Indiana Jones 2 The Adventure Continues, based on the iffy reviews and the apparent changes in play, but I talked to the kids about it, and they decided to go ahead and buy it with their combined holiday money.

As they say, “We really, really like it!” They love the added gameplay options, like Indy’s whip being able to grab people, and they like the vehicle driving levels better. They did mention, when I asked, that they don’t love trying to “find” the next level, but they also said, in that great 8-going-on-16 voice, “We’ll figure it out, Mom – we always do.”

Sony Handycam HDR-CX500V 32 GB Flash High-Definition Camcorder

Sony Handycam HDR-CX500V Camcorder : I had issues with the confusing and cramped touch screen nest of menus, and like the Sony touch screen cameras like my TX1, you often have to touch the button several times to register a hit. Way bad – not cool, Sony! Better than the infamous T500 touch screen camera but NO way near as sensitive as an iPhone for example. The fade-in and out was not easy to find – should be a dedicated button. Touching the screen of course jiggles the video – gRRRRR.

So, would I buy this again? Surely, the price is great for what you get. Would I love to change some key issues for me? Yes – see above.

Panasonic TC-L32X2 32-Inch 720p LCD HDTV with iPod Dock

Panasonic TC-L32X2 LCD HDTV : I ordered Panasonic TC-L32X2 LCD HDTV to replace a 20 year old one that I was playing xbox on. I love it not just for the gaming but the other features also. the sd card reader and the ipod dock are a great couple of add ons for a tv. its very easy to use and the menus are very user friendly. I ordered it from abt electronics and received it in 4 days. The picture is excellent. I just had to tone down the picture a little while gaming cause it was a little too sharp. but the adjustments were easy to do. I recommend it to anyone.
